Agency Becomes Breathe California
On February 1st 2006, our local agency, most recently known as the American Lung Association of the Central Coast, announced it is ending its affiliation with the national American Lung Association and the American Lung Association of California and changing its name to Breathe California Central Coast. With four other former lung association affiliates, known statewide as Breathe California, we will each continue to fight lung disease in all of its forms and work with our communities to protect lung health.
We will work to expand the ways we serve you and reach our local residents with critical lung health resources. And as a part of a statewide network, we will be able to remain responsive to local needs while collaborating to achieve common goals.
As we move forward as Breathe California, we hope you think of us as the same people, same mission, same enthusiasm and same experience - just with a different name!
